Let’s take a ride back to the 1950s, where we started with a small neighbourhood grocery store in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur. In 1997, we grabbed the opportunity to establish Pasaraya OTK (OTK). This supermarket quickly became the go-to place for fresh produce and grocery items.
In 2004, with opportunity hitting us at the right time, Village Grocer (VG) was born in Bangsar Village with its premium produce selection. It continues to serve the residents of Bangsar and Kuala Lumpur with its large array of fresh produce and finest offering, catering to the discerning consumers.
In April 2017, we marked a very special moment in our journey as the company fully acquired Ben’s Independent Grocer (B.I.G.), another premium supermarket. B.I.G., started in 2011, brings an exciting experience for our shoppers with a complete eat, drink and shop adventure through our impressive spread of specialised sections with themes like Barn Butchery, Bay Seafood, B. Organics and Malaya Kitchen.
The Food Purveyor Sdn Bhd (TFP) is a full-fledge chain of premium grocer across the Klang Valley and Johor Bahru aims to be the leading premium supermarket chain in Malaysia. We are now a group of companies of 30 outlets which consists of 3 Pasar raya OTK, 29 Village Grocer, 6 B.I.G. and 1 BSC Fine Foods. As a multi award-winning company brand, we continue to serve our shoppers with varied range of products from fresh produce to grocery, from bakery to F&B, from Ready-to-Eat items to freshly cooked dishes.
