Description
Palestine Fair Trade Australia (PFTA) is a social enterprise and registered charity based in Sydney. We import a unique range of ethically sourced and Fair Trade products from Palestine. These include delicious, organic olive oils and traditional foods from Canaan Fair Trade in Jenin, soap from Nablus and embroideries and other crafts from Atfaluna and Sulafa in Gaza.
We purchase products at fair trade prices, which are then marked up very slightly to cover shipping, insurance, breakage and other unavoidable costs then all proceeds from sales are re-invested in buying more products. This modelallowed us to expand our initial range, limited to olive oils and food products, adding the Nabulsi soaps and products from Gaza. Before too long, we also hope to be able to offer Palestinian medjool dates to our friends and supporters.
When you buy our products you are supporting Palestinian families battling dispossession. Your support means we are able to provide decent work which allows women and men to support their families in both West Bank and Gaza, making the best contribution we can manage to the Palestinian economy.
