The President and Committee of volunteers work closely with Tennis Australia, Tennis Victoria and City of Bayside to provide a quality environment for the enjoyment of tennis. The President and Committee ensure full compliance with Consumer Affairs Victoria requirements, including financial reporting. Dendy Park was originally established as Elsternwick Tennis Club in the early 20th century and in 1970 relocated to its current site at Dendy Park Brighton East.
The Annual Club Championships, which date back to the 1930s, provide an opportunity for Club members to compete in a variety of graded singles and doubles events, and trophies are awarded each year to the best performed man and woman in the Tennis Victoria Pennant competition. Notable Club Championship Open Men's Singles winners include former Wimbledon Champion and Australian Davis Cup Captain Neale Fraser, Australian Davis Cup player Alan Stone and Australian Junior Champion Will Coghlan.
