AIMES is a University of Melbourne-led collaboration bringing together industry, government and research partners to deliver a connected transport future.
The establishment of the world-first and largest ecosystem in Melbourne sees an inner city grid of streets mapped with smart sensors.
In real-time, the sensors monitor the flow of vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and public transport through the grid.
The project is designed to deliver an integrated and multimodal approach to transport management; especially with ever growing population and traffic congestion.
