Description
Through the management of the Prakarya International Technology Education Foundation, SMK Prakarya International (SMK PI), known as PI School, is one of the oldest private vocational high schools in Indonesia located in the city of Bandung. The campus consists of 3 (three) adjacent locations, located on Jl. Inhoftank No.46-146 Tegalega, Bandung, since 1970 until now.
The school was previously pioneered and developed as an International Technical Vocational Education institution (1952-1975) with offices at Jalan Martadinata No 225-227, Bandung, West Java, until 1985.
J. Canny (1927-1998) was the initiator and founder of PI School working together with the late H. Sumarni (1934-1980), building, developing, and operating, starting in the early stages of physical construction and development. The establishment and development of PI School has been pioneered and developed through technical vocational education since 2 November 1952 to date. J. Canny, who worked at PSM (Guns & Gunpowder Factory), now PT PINDAD, in the early 1950s, is a car mechanic who speaks fluent Dutch and is also known as the author of more than +/- 200 titles of technical books (from practice to practice) in the fields of automotive, mechanical and electrical engineering, among others.
PI School currently has 8 (eight) expertise study programmes (1) Light Vehicle Engineering; (2) Machining Engineering; (3) Electric Power Utilisation Engineering; (4) Multi Media and visual Communication Design, (5) Computer and Network Engineering, (6) Software Engineering; (7) Office Management and Business; (8) Motorcycle Engineering; (9) Hospitality.
