Description

Write2Spell2Read is a unique evidence-based literacy program that links handwriting, spelling and reading. In today's education system with its focus on technology, writing is often the missing link and the science shows us that you can't learn to spell and read well without mastering the art of writing.

Developed by occupational therapist Samantha Woods because of her belief that everyone has the right to literacy success, Write2Spell2Read is a quick, multisensory program that is easy to follow and focusses on providing lots of practice and repetition.

The program has helped thousands of children and adults, including those with complex learning challenges, mainstream, and gifted students to achieve their literacy goals.

The program uses writing as an essential part of literacy learning, knowing that it is the quickest way to form strong memory paths. It's easy to use for both teachers and parents alike, providing a step-by-step plan showing what to teach and how to teach it.

"Write2Spell2Read works to bring the three three critical literacy areas of the brain – the motor, visual and auditory areas - together in a successful partnership designed for literacy success," says Write2Spell2Read author Samantha Woods, who has more than 30 years' experience as an occupational therapist and as a certified Neurodevelopmental Therapist.

"It does this by teaching handwriting, spelling and reading at the same time, not separately. With complex neuroscience research embedded into its design, parents can feel confident of success with Write2Spell2Read."
