World Nomads Group Pty Ltd (WNG), a subsidiary of nib, is one of the fastest growing and most innovative travel insurance companies in the world. Established in 2000, it has grown to become one of Australia’s largest operators and is home to a network of market leading brands servicing various traveller segments.
At the core of our business is a large team of technology, editorial and production staff that help drive the innovation, customer experience and travel safety content that ensures our products stay relevant to our customers.
Each year we protect over 800,000 travelling customers.
In response to the devastating Asian Tsunami in 2004, our founders also established a philanthropic venture named The Footprints Network (www. footprintsnetwork.org) , an online organisation that collects micro- donations within ecommerce transactions.
It was set up to allow travel insurance customers to donate small amounts ($2) on top of their insurance purchases to support charity projects throughout the world. It has since grown to incorporate other e-commerce partners, but 100% of the charities administration costs are still covered by WNG. This ensures each dollar donated makes its way in full to the nominated charities. So far its efforts have:

- Completed over 200 projects from Water Sanitation to Children’s education
