Description

The Women’s Insolvency Network Australia (WINA) NSW was incorporated as an association under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW), formerly known as IWIRC (NSW).

WINA is a not for profit association, established to achieve the following objectives:

a) promote women in the insolvency, restructuring and related professions and enhance their professional status and reputation;

b) provide opportunities for the professional development of members in the insolvency and restructuring industry, particularly through networking, business development, self-development, educational and mentoring opportunities;

(c) share interests, experience, expertise and business opportunities between members;

(d) offer a forum for women for mentoring to ease the way for those new to the profession; and

(e) form and maintain relationships with associations in other jurisdictions, both within Australia and internationally, with similar purposes and objects as the those outlined above.

Our members come from a range of legal, accounting, banking and policy backgrounds and as such, the variety of functions we host each year provide participants in the restructuring and insolvency industry with fantastic networking opportunities.

The WINA Committee is comprised of up to thirteen women in the restructuring and insolvency industry. WINA is famous for its annual Race Day event, attracting up to 300 attendees. In addition, WINA hosts a range of informative seminars throughout the year, along with a variety of networking events.

Our focus to connect and promote women is evident in our exceptionally balanced male and female attendance across all our events and through the establishment of our Mentoring Program.
