West Coast Youth & Community Support (WCYCS) was established in Port Lincoln in 1985. In any given year the organisation directly supports approximately 2,000 people across the Lower Eyre Peninsula which includes Port Lincoln, Cummins, Cleve, Tumby Bay as well out to the regions of Elliston, Wudinna and Cleve and the towns within area.
Our organisation provides a number of services including Alcohol and Other Drug counselling services for individuals and families. Other services include Homelessness Support, Youth Crisis Accommodation, Youth Programs, Alcohol & Drug Support, Mental Wellbeing and Community Connections which are supported by our Healing Circle Day Centre offering a range of group therapies and activities.
We believe in supporting young people with every opportunity possible for them to develop into active citizens and participate fully in their communities. Our Youth Workers and Counsellors deliver a range of programs that engage with the young people across the Eyre Peninsula.
Our services also offer a range of successful programs that provide connections to the community. Mentally Fit EP aims to empower people of all ages to take charge of their lives and to create mentally fit connected communities through program-based activities. Community Connections supports people to increase their independence in the home and to build stronger social and community connections.
