Description
The Well Foundation harnesses the generosity of the community in support of North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals; raising additional funds to advance healthcare for those living in West and North Auckland, including the Rodney District.
CHARITABLE TRUST
Set up as a separate charitable trust, we help Waitemata DHB deliver its promise of “best care for everyone” by raising additional funds for priority projects and initiatives that support the improvement of health outcomes, lift the quality of patient and whanau experience and enable the Waitemata DHB to deliver world-class care. Donations and support raised through the foundation will be carefully managed and used on agreed projects and kept distinct from the annual Government funding the DHB is allocated for its basic, core services.

Waitemata DHB has a big job serving the country’s largest DHB population of more than 580,000 people. As well as running North Shore and Waitakere hospitals,it is responsible for the region’s primary healthcare and other community services that run through more than 30 sites.
