Description

WHFC IS THE LARGEST SPORTING CLUB IN THE BANYULE COMMUNITY

The Watsonia Heights Football Club (WHFC) was established in 1970, where the club has played a prominent role in the local community over its 50 year history. We are proud of the contribution we make to the community for the ongoing development of its players, young and old (both on the field and off).

It's an ideal environment for aspiring young Football players along with those who enjoy competing and participating in Football at all levels and all abilities, where we recently launched our All Abilities program in collaboration with DOC Academy and Banyule City Council.

In the midst of COVID-19, 2020 saw us celebrate our 50th year of being a successful community sporting club, whilst becoming the first grassroots club in Victoria to gain an international football partnership with Italian football club, Pescara Calcio 1936. The partnership brings many opportunities to WHFC that will allow our players to grow and have access to professional European coaches and staff to assist with their development at WHFC.

Since 2011, WFHFC has grown from a club that started off fielding 11 junior teams and 3 senior teams, now currently running 25 junior teams and 6 senior teams. At the community level, we argue being the biggest sporting club in the Banyule area.

We have the largest playing base of any other club of any code, and the largest number of female players of any club in Banyule area - with the largest mixture of girls to boys ratio in the state.

We uphold the belief that together, we can achieve excellence through commitment, resilience, inclusivity and transparency.
