Want Want Group was founded in 1962, formerly known as I Lan Foods Industrial Co., Ltd in Taiwan. “Want Want「旺旺」” trademark has been registered and adopted since 1983. In the early 90s, Want Want ventured into Mainland China and commenced its operations. At the end of 2016, Want Want has established 37 manufacturing bases with 128 factories and more than 359 sales of offices with over 60,0000 employees throughout China. As a food and beverage company under Want Want Group, Want Want China Holdings Ltd. was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and was selected as a constituent of the Hang Seng Mainland Composite Index. In addition, Want Want has extended its business to the media, financial, restaurant, pharmaceutical, and agricultural industries - continuously moving towards other diversified industries. In 2008, Want Want took over Taiwan's largest media group, China Times Media Group and founded “Want Daily”, Taiwan’s first newspaper that specifically reports news on Mainland China. Want Want Media Group always upholds its philosophy of “Truth, Rationality, and Love for Taiwan” to promote harmonious development between both sides of the Strait. Meanwhile, Want Want Group embraces its management philosophy of “People-Oriented, Self- Confidence and Unity” and strives for the goal of “Number One in China, Number One in the World”.
