In 1984 my father, Victor Chang, created The Victor Chang Foundation which is now run by his family.
Despite his tragic death on 4 July 1991, his Foundation’s work continues, honouring his original intentions:
1) Sharing cutting edge expertise, knowledge and skills in cardiovascular surgery by training and teaching doctors, surgeons and nurses from China and other Asian countries.
2) Practicing and promoting continuous innovation in cardiovascular surgery and striving for excellence in this field.
Since its inception, more than thirty years ago, the Board of the Foundation has distributed close to $1 million in grants and remains his one true legacy.
