Description
Venture for Fund Raising (Venture) plays a critical role in the field of philanthropy in the Philippines. Organized in March 1999, we developed programs and services to promote our mission to “teach the joy of giving”. To achieve this mission, we work with both the “givers” – specifically, individuals and institutions that do good by partnering with non-profit and non-governmental organizations; as well as the “askers”– the non-profit organizations that do fund raising (asking) to support their programs.
In a Call for Proposals conducted by the United States of America for International Development (USAID), Venture was identified to be the only non-profit organization in Asia that conducts practitioner-driven consulting, training, and research services. We have helped over 1,248 organizations throughout the Philippines, the rest of Asia, and the world by providing various training in several Asian countries, consulting assistance programs in Indonesia, Cambodia, and Georgia, and speaking engagements throughout Asia, as well as in the Netherlands, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Australia, and South Africa.
Moreover, Venture is the convenor of the Fund Raising Congress in the Philippines, as well as the organizer of the Kyra Awards, where industry awards are given out to non-profits with the best practices in fund raising.
