Welcome to Vape-Free Kids NZ.
Vape Free Kids NZ is a voluntary collective of parents and whanau wanting to reduce harm to our rangatahi from vaping in Aotearoa. We are calling for action to reduce the visibility and accessibility of vapes in our communities. Age regulations on their own are not enough to keep vapes out of the hands of rangatahi.
We have no position when talking about the use of Vapes as a tool for current smokers who want to quit as this is not our area of expertise.
We believe that the government has a duty of care to protect our children from the harm caused by these products and we believe that the needs of adults to access a product designed to be addictive should not be at the expense of our children and future generations of non-smokers.
Our Facebook group www.facebook/groups/vapefreekidsnz is a place to come together, share our ideas, take action, and make a difference for our kids' futures.
Sadly, a new wave of nicotine addiction is already starting among our young people. We need to get our heads out of the clouds and start taking action!
