Welcome to the University of Newcastle's brand new student society. We are founded out of the Politics and International Relations discipline but seek to foster interdisciplinary connections with Humanities, Economics, Philosophy and beyond! We welcome students from all backgrounds and perspectives, whether you are new to political thinking or otherwise. We are committed to creating spaces of discourse and events where members can discuss political ideas, share views and build connections.
We recognise and respect the ancestral lands of the Awabakal, Worimi, and Ku-ring-gai nations on which we learn, work and build political communities. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and uphold the importance of centring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, voices and experiences.
