Internationally ranked as the number one School of our kind in Australia and in the world’s top twelve, we are committed to advancing a sustainable, safe and ethical society.
We’re at the forefront of research across civil and environmental engineering with strengths in construction innovation, ecological engineering, geotechnical engineering, infrastructure, remote sensing, transport, and water engineering.
Our academic staff are recognised world leaders in their fields, supported by more than 70 full-time researchers. Each year, we work with over 120 industry and government organisations on specific industry and community-related projects.
Our School offers 5 major undergraduate degrees, with one-third of our undergraduate students enrolled in double degrees, combining with the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce or Law. We also offer nine postgraduate coursework Masters – providing industry professionals with essential specialist knowledge, enhancing career performance and prospects.
Our courses emphasise sustainability and consideration of engineering impacts, with an integrated and inter-connected view of the world. The number and diversity of our academic staff and the breadth of our engagement with industry through our activities, allows us to bring tremendous expertise to our teaching.
