Universitas Pelita Bangsa (UPB) merupakan perguruan tinggi baru hasil perubahan bentuk dari penggabungan antara Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STIE) dan Sekolah Tinggi Teknik (STT) sesuai dengan Surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Republik Indonesia Nomor : 664/KPTI/I/2019 tanggal 2 Agustus 2019. UPB berdiri pada hamparan lahan seluas 11.603 m2 yang beralamatkan di Jalan Inpeksi Kalimalang Tegal Danas Arah DELTAMAS, Cikarang Pusat – Kabupaten Bekasi.

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Pelita Bangsa berdiri sejak tahun 2000 dibawah Yayasan Pelita Bangsa berdasarkan Akte Notaris Henry Siregar, SH Nomor 2 tanggal 19 Mei 2000 dan berkedudukan di Bekasi Jawa Barat, dengan lokasi kampus yang beralamat di Ruko Bekasi Mas Blok D 21-22, Jl. Jenderal Ahmat Yani Kota Bekasi Barat.

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Pelita Bangsa membuka 2 Program Studi yaitu Pertama Program Studi Manajemen Strata Satu, dan kedua Program Studi Akuntansi (Diploma Tiga). Sedangkan program Diploma Tiga Akuntansi diselenggarakan berdasarkan SK Menteri Pendidikan Nasional RI dengan SK perpanjangan Program studi nomor: 3861/D/T/K-IV/2009.
