The Union Dairy Company has an annual processing capacity of 300 million litres of raw milk and began production in 2017. Located in Penola – in Australia’s prime dairy region – the purpose-built plant provides a state-of-the-art factory producing high quality powders and fat products to the world.
Part of The Midfield Group, one of Australia’s most successful vertically integrated meat processing and dairy farming companies based in Warrnambool, in South West Victoria.
Founded by local stock agent and farmer Colin McKenna in 1975, The Midfield Group now employs over 1,500 people in its meat works, dairy and farming operations, dairy processing plant, logistics and sales and marketing operations.
The Midfield Group exports to over 55 countries and its success and growth is driven by a commitment to continually investing in its people and innovative technologies with a whole of company focus on sustainability and the environment. Midfield invests tens-of-millions of dollars each year on new plant and equipment and farming upgrades.
