Description
Incorporated in Sabah in 1989, Unimekar Sdn. Bhd. commenced operation as a contractor specialising in electrical works. Holder of Class I license from Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor (PKK), registered with Construction Industries Development Board (CIDB) and various registration with treasuries, government bodies, Petronas and other major industries and utilities, Unimekar Sdn. Bhd. combined the highest level of national and international experience with a strong regional presence throughout Sabah. Playing the role of a turnkey contractor, it has become a major electrical contractor and supplier in this country.
Unimekar Metals Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in 1997. The manufacturing facilities of this Unimekar sister company is located in Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (K.K.I.P), about 30 kilometres north of Kota Kinabalu, the capital city of Sabah. Unimekar Metals commenced operations with its 1st galvanising plant in Sabah and the manufacturing of steel poles as well as fabrication of steel towers. In 2004, Unimekar Metals expended its manufacturing operations further downstream to include melting of metals by operating the 1st Foundry plant in Sabah.
Unimekar Industries Sdn Bhd was incorporated in May 2004 and changed to current name on 28th October, 2009. We are currently setting up the first Billet Manufacturing Plant in the state of Sabah, Malaysia, which was in commercial production in early 2013. Unimekar Industries Sdn Bhd (UISB) has been granted with 5 years Pioneer Status from MIDA for manufacturing Plant in the Government's Koridor Pantai Timur initiative.
