Description

马大新青年协会成立于2001年，宗旨为争取恢复校园自主，学生自治。新青年与马大回教学生会在马大组成亲学生阵线，多年来付诸于废除大专法令运动，以期有朝一日能够归还学生的政治参与权和校园自治权予学生。

新青年与学阵每年也参加马大一年一度的校园选举，虽然学生代表理事会在大专法令施行后剥夺了行政权力，但新青年与学阵也利用学生代表理事会平台，代表学生对不公施政勇于发言，制造舆论，向校方和政府施压。

马大新青年也是2014/2015年马大学生会（ PMUM）内阁成员之一，在学阵赢取的21席议席中，新青年占有7个席位，其中1席为校园级议席，另外6席分别是文學院、經濟學院、會計及商學院、電腦科學及資訊工藝學院，和两席工程学院。

从2001年成立至今，马大新青年都是马大学生民主斗争运动的先驱，提倡民主、自由与平等的马大学生团体, 并不断加强它在校园、社会和国家政策上的影响力。

马大新青年除了在主要媒体针对社会与校园课题发表看法外，也经常举办各类民主教育运动增加学生对社会课题的醒觉，带领学生维护自身的基本权力，培养下一代学生领袖继续领导学生运动使学运的火焰绽放更加闪耀的光茫。我们的常年活动有马大民主学堂，升学巡回讲座，外地考察，民主营等。
