TUNRA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Newcastle. With over 50 years of proven experience, we work with partners in Australia and internationally to delivery exceptional service, impact, and excellence.

We enable business, industry, and government partners to connect with University experts on consulting projects, specialised testing services and industry training and short courses. We work within and beyond the University to create impact through the translation of research expertise to commercial outcomes.

We also offer bulk materials handling research and consulting solutions for industry and offer a platform for hosted projects.

Our mission is to advance industry through research and research education. We work closely with the University’s Research & Innovation Division, its research institutes and centres, and with experts across the University’s three Colleges to provide a platform for collaboration that delivers results.
