Tourism East is the official regional tourism organisation for the Yarra Valley, Dandenong Ranges and surround. We exist to represent the region driving visitation and spend to one of Victoria's premier tourist destinations that boasts a wealth of attractions including wineries, foodie experiences, arts and culture, heritage, wildlife, nature, gardens, events, and conferences.
We connect local businesses to global tourism markets, showcasing our region and the unique experiences it has to the offer the visitor.
The region is surprisingly close to Melbourne yet a world away, under an hour from both Melbourne CBD and the international airport, it is within easy reach and offers a sophisticated blend of urban style within a majestic backdrop of blue mountain ranges and beautiful rolling hills strung with vines. With world famous wines, exceptional seasonal produce and breathtaking scenery, the Yarra Valley is Victoria’s premium food and wine region, home to over 80 wineries with most offering year round cellar door tastings.
The Dandenong Ranges capture romance, just as nature intended. Meandering drives wind past lush forests and flowering gardens to hilltop villages replete with cosy hideaways, many with open fires.
Home to an endless source of indulgent sensations, the region is rapidly gaining recognition as one of the states most romantic destinations, with it’s hilltop villages, abundant picnic grounds, boutique retreats, galleries, restaurants, ballooning and spa facilities.
