Description

Tourism Bay of Plenty is the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) and Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for Te Moananui ā Toi, the Coastal Bay of Plenty.

Located on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island, our region includes the city of Tauranga (featuring Mauao | Mount Maunganui) and a series of villages and towns situated between the rural Kaimai Ranges and scenic Pacific Ocean coastline. These include Waihī Beach, Katikati, Ōmokoroa, Pāpāmoa, Te Puke, and Maketū.

Our goal is to preserve the Coastal Bay of Plenty’s unique identity, enhance visitor experiences, and increase tourism investment and supply, whilst ensuring that visitor-related developments complement the interests of residents and communities.

We’re committed to ensuring that our organisation and region continue the journey towards becoming wholly regenerative. That means focusing on how tourism can give back to the community and environment, above and beyond its significant economic contribution.
