Tinh Thuong One member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM) is the first official microfinance institution in Vietnam. It was established by the Vietnam Women's Union with a mission of improving the quality of life of low income women and their families, especially poor disadvantaged women by providing financial and non – financial services, creating favourable conditions for their participation in economic activities and enhancing their role in society.
Founded in 1992 , having experienced over 20 years of development and growth, TYM has assisted thousands of women to sustainably reduce poverty and get prosperous. It has built a model of easy access to appropriate loan products for households in rural areas. For its contributions to poverty alleviation in the country, TYM has been honoured to get precious prizes awarded by the State such as the First Class Labour Order, the Vietnam Women’s Medal and the Award of Outstanding Microfinance Institution..
