After years of being just a wonderful concept, Thunderbolt Events was officially established in 2021 by our Founder Vas Comblas, under the Thunderbolt Events banner and the inaugural event is the Thunderbolt Run.

Vas’s dream was to bring likeminded people together and embark on an awe-inspiring life altering experience which will create bonds and lifelong friendships with fellow entrants, plus of course a little “friendly rivalry” while raising much needed funds for our chosen charity.

Imagine driving your vehicle on this fun banter friendly five day road trip, while being part of a cavalcade of exotic and high-performance cars driving some of Australia's most exciting roads knowing that you are helping raise awareness and much needed funds for a wonderful charity.
For the 2022 Thunderbolt Run Vas has chosen to bring awareness to mental health, by supporting Beyond Blue.
2023 Thunderbolt Run will be donating $1000 for every vehicle entered to Prostate Cancer Awareness.
2023 offers a life altering driving experience that is worthy of the name Thunderbolt Run - 6 nights and 7 days of unparallel driving thrills, travelling 1433km from Sydney to Melbourne through Australia's stunning high country driving along the Great Alpine Road with overnight stops in Bowral, Jindabyne, and Mount Hotham, enjoy a winery tour through the Southern Highlands as well as an adrenaline-fueled track day at Calder Park Raceway.
