Description
The New Charis Mission (hereafter known as “TNCM”) is a non-profit charitable organisation registered with Registry of Societies in 2006 and Commissioner of Charities in 2007. TNCM is an approved Institution of a Public Character (IPC) and a full member of National Council of Social Services.
Beyond the traditional role of a halfway house for ex-drug addicts and ex-offenders, TNCM runs a Residential Rehabilitation Programme designed to help individuals break free from past failures and destructive habits, fostering a new mindset and value system.
Beneficiaries become Mentors running programmes in schools for at-risk students, Counsellors to inmates in prison, and Befrienders to the lonely elderly. Once a source of trouble and burden for their families, they are now able to provide support and stability to their loved ones.
