The Solar Repair Man provides repairs and maintenance for the hundreds of thousands of solar installations on homes and businesses across Victoria. Our inhouse team of specialists focus on personalised service, from your initial phone call to an onsite visit by our team of highly trained A-grade technicians. We work with you to determine the underlying cause of your solar problem, whether it’s over the phone troubleshooting, recommending a service plan to manage your solar asset or physically assessing and repairing an issue at your business.
Our founder and CEO, Steve Yankos has been in the solar industry since the early years of grid-connect solar in Australia. For over 15 years Steve worked as a technician and installer of residential, commercial and public sector solar systems. He saw first-hand the toll that time and weather exposure can have on a solar asset. With over half a million solar installations in Victoria alone, The Solar Repair Man was established to deliver specialised repairs, servicing and maintenance for solar systems.
Traditionally solar has been a ‘set & forget’ installation, as a rooftop asset with low visibility. Our team works on a wide range of solar issues with a focus on repairing components rather than replacing complete systems. Overwhelmingly the key faults that arise are issues with the inverters or isolation switches, with faulty panels or faulty wiring. Not only do these issues reduce the effectiveness of your solar system, but they can be potential safety hazards and fire risks.
The Solar Repair Man was established following years of working in the solar industry and seeing where the gaps lie between installation, prevention and maximising the life of your asset. We’re a full-service provider for existing solar systems, with a team of inhouse specialists who are trained to maximise both the output and the returns on your solar investment.
