Overview UWA’s School of Population and Global Health is a leading research, teaching and service organisation whose work influences health policies and practices.

With a commitment to achieving excellence in teaching and research training, our courses are flexible and industry relevant, giving students the knowledge and skills to address pressing and emerging health issues.

Our world class research traverses the spectrum from cardiovascular and mental health epidemiology, to complex social issues including family and domestic violence and working to ‘close the gap’ in Indigenous health outcomes.

Our researchers have a proud history as intellectual leaders in environmental health, health promotion and health services evaluation, utilization and health outcomes. Our research is rigorous and utilizes academic expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods, health promotion, and linked data analysis, which was pioneered in Australia by researchers from the School. Our translation of research into policy and practice is facilitated by a philosophy of community and consumer involvement.
