What began as a small effort for one girl's education has grown into a foundation for over 150 Afghan girls and women. In Afghanistan, where girls are banned from education after 6th grade and women face severe neglect in accessing healthcare, we are committed to providing education and health workshops in Afghanistan:
Over 1.4 million girls in Afghanistan are banned from secondary education, making it the only country in the world to impose such restrictions. Our programs offer safe, free learning in Dari, English, and Math, with 150 girls enrolled in our first month. Our classes are held across two provinces, with passionate, professional teachers dedicated to inspiring hope in the girls who dream of a better future.
Women’s health is severely neglected in Afghanistan, with high maternal mortality, widespread gender-based violence, and poor menstrual hygiene. We offer free health sessions on sexual, maternal, and general women’s health, delivered by professional female healthcare workers, reaching communities where support is scarce.
There is a significant gap in research on Afghan women’s lives, and we aim to bridge that gap. Through in-depth research, we document the realities Afghan women face—health neglect, maternal mortality, gender-based violence, and mental health struggles. Our findings guide targeted programs and advocacy efforts, pushing for lasting change and the empowerment of Afghan women.
