The incorporation of The Logistics Academy on 25 February 2010 by the Singapore Logistics Association affirms the Association’s commitment in active promotion of quality training and lifelong learning for the logistics workforce.
The Academy upholds the Association’s mission in promoting professionalism and excellence in the logistics industry by:
- Winning recognition from the relevant accreditation bodies and industries for its wide suites of programmes;
- Providing neutral platform for diverse interest groups across the logistics profession to facilitate learning from one another through community networking;
- Contributing positively to the growth of the talent pool through various grooming and retention programmes for the logistics industry.
A distinctive feature of TLA’s holistic approach to vocational learning, the teaching faculty primarily comprises of industry practitioners ever so eager to share their immense wealth of knowledge and experiences with their facilitating skills acquired through the years. This pathway of competency building, in turn, leads to the development of skilled and productive workforce which then helps sustain Singapore as a premier logistics hub.
