Description
The Insurance Network (The IN) was established in 2015 by a group of women working in the insurance industry who found support from each other socially and professionally. The IN is primarily a group to support women in insurance, but we also hope to make insurance industry a more inclusive community for all its members. All genders are welcome to join and get involved in supporting our mission.
We aim to provide our members with opportunities for learning, growth and support in the Insurance industry. We serve these goals by providing opportunities for networking, skills advancement and fun. Our functions are designed to allow people to engage in these goals outside of traditional structures, including making sure events are activity focused and at a variety to times to support people with family and other commitments. The IN aims to bring people together to ignite exchange of ideas and provide positive and lasting contributions to the insurance industry.
We aim to shape the insurance industry by:
- Increasing awareness of the benefits of diversity;
- Offering professional support and encouraging women to enter and succeed in all aspects of insurance;
- Providing knowledge sharing opportunities; and
- Encouraging networking and collegiality across all sectors of insurance
