The Flaming Beacon is a professional, specialist, international lighting design consultancy with approximately 25 staff between studios in Melbourne, Australia, and Berlin, Germany.
Our specialty is the design of beautiful, exclusive hospitality environments. Over 30 years we have completed hundreds of unique projects across more than 40 countries. We emphasise problem solving, promote innovation in process and outcome, and maintain a strong commitment to our project’s individual demands and particularity.
Our designers typically have masters-level training in architectural lighting design, usually following bachelor level study in architecture, engineering, theatre, interior design or product design. They work alongside a generation of designers whose professional competence comes from decades of project-based experience.
