Description

The Dementia Society Perak was formed in 2010 to create public awareness of the condition and to provide assistance to people with dementia as well as their caregivers.

The Society runs a daycare centre for those with dementia. The family of the late Dr. & Mrs. (Bebe) Lim Eng Cheang donated a 24,843 sq ft plot of land in Padang Tembak to construct a new Daycare Centre. This will allow the Dementia Society Perak to better serve its existing clients and to accommodate more clients in the future. The new centre is a two storey building – one of which will be used for daycare activities and the other for workshops, meeting and conferences. The building is expected to be completed in 2019. This project has been made possible thanks to private donations made by very generous individuals and corporations.

In the coming months, we are hoping to raise more funds to help us pay for furnishings and expected increase in running costs as we prepare to move to our new location.
