Thailand’s most respected economic think-tank with 30 years of policy research experiences.

Main research programs include macroeconomic policy, international economic policy, economic sector analysis, natural resources and environment, energy policy, science and technology policy, human resources and social policy, and laws. Priority research areas are new economic development model, innovation policy, fiscal policy, education reform, Anti-corruption, and water management. Examples of impacts on policy changes are the abolishment of rice export premium and the introduction of less distortive rice price guarantee scheme, the establishment of the Thai PBS , the first public television in Southeast Asia, and a number of legislations. Transparency, disclosure of research findings and recommendations, and freedom of expression with responsibility are our organizational culture. Research activities and results are actively disseminated and capture public's interest through printed reports, infographics , public seminars, medias and social networks.
