Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), which was established in 1969, is one of the members of Thai Nguyen University. It is considered one of the four leading National Agricultural Universities in Vietnam.
MISSION AND VISION:
Our mission is to provide higher education, conduct research and technology transfer in the fields of agriculture, forestry, rural development, environmental and natural resource management to contribute to the socio-economic development in the midland and northern mountainous provinces of Vietnam.
Our target is to produce a workforce of qualified knowledge, ethics and practicing capability in the fields of agriculture, forestry, rural development, environmental and natural resource management to meet the demands of national and international labor market.
We are determined to be a leading center for training, research and technology transfer in the fields of agriculture, forestry, rural development, environmental and natural resource management Vietnam as well as a prestigious center in Southeast Asia.
HISTORY
Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) is one of the members of Thai Nguyen University. It was initially founded as Thai Nguyen College of Agricultural Technology in 1969. In 1994, under the decision No.31/CP, it became Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. For 50 years of constant transformation and growth, TUAF has been recognized as the center for training, scientific research and technology transfer in agriculture, forestry, environmental and resource management, and rural development in the midland and northern mountainous provinces. It was awarded a number of dignified awards and titles from Vietnam government for the excellence in education and research.
