Description
Tennis NZ is the national body for tennis in New Zealand. We were one of the founding members of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), and are responsible for the administration and management of tennis in New Zealand. This includes the selection and management of Davis and Billie Jean King Cup teams to represent New Zealand in these annual international competitions.
Tennis NZ are also event partners alongside Tennis Auckland in administering the ASB Classic, an ATP/WTA professional tennis tournament held in Auckland each January. We also organise a number of professional ITF level tournaments across the country each year.
Tennis NZ has nearly 400 member clubs and nearly 40,000 individual members. Tennis NZ provides MatchHub a national grading system online for all competitive players in the country.
More than 300,000 people play tennis in New Zealand, making it the country's second most popular adult participation sport. Tennis NZ is an advocate for all these tennis players too.
