The Why Tempat.com started because we see there are many local businesses under Services Sector in Indonesia haven't gone online; haven't reap the full benefit of internet access in Indonesia. Kominfo in Feb 2019 stated that there are 62.9 Million Local Businesses in Indonesia, yet only 15.2% of them Go Online which mainly are the ones selling physical products. Go Online actually means promoting their services online. This is saddening as local business under Services Sector are left behind while it is actually contributing 45% of Indonesia's GDP (US$ 450 Billion, World Bank). Local Businesses under Services Sector hasn't really realize the fully potential and benefit out of 137.2 Million internet users in Indonesia. We want to take part in making it happen.
The How Tempat.com must be able to help these local businesses to Go Online by making the most comprehensive online directory in Indonesia for various services focusing with the ones with physical locations. We wanted Tempat.com to help local businesses getting more online exposure for their services, acquiring new customer base, maximizing their profit in a day/week, and retaining their existing customer.
The What Tempat.com must be the #1 and most comprehensive online listings for various place categories in Indonesia. It has to bring endless value added services both for the local businesses and consumer. Stay tuned. To be continued.
