Description
Te Whare Ra Wines (TWR) is a certified organic vineyard and winery located in the Marlborough sub-region of Renwick, owned by winemakers – Anna & Jason Flowerday.
Our 11 Ha vineyard, is home to the oldest vines in the Marlborough region, have been originally planted in 1979. Yields are kept low; the vineyard is managed with a combination of organic and biodynamic practices and all the fruit is handpicked and hand sorted. Our wines are made with minimal intervention in a small winery which has been specifically set up for small batch winemaking.
We produces Sauvignon Blanc, a huge array of other aromatic whites (Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Gris and a field blend called Toru) plus outstanding Chardonnay, Rose, several Pinot Noirs and Syrah.
Our wines are available in on premise and via fine wine retailers. They are widely available in NZ and we are currently exporting to Australia, UK, USA (California only), Canada (Ontario only), Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden.
Te Whare Ra Cellar Door - Our cellar door & tasting room is open for wine sales and tastings from late Oct until we start harvest in March. During this time, we are open weekdays from 11 – 4 and some weekends when the vineyard and family time permits.
