Te Hono started with a belief that the immense potential of our country’s primary sector could be better harnessed and more substantially contribute to the increased prosperity of all New Zealanders. Achieving this prosperity would happen by thinking and doing things differently, adding value.
Collaboration, alignment and transformation have been the goals of Te Hono. The movement has brought together a diverse alumni of more than 220 chief executives, leaders and government officials who have a deep seated passion and desire to develop and innovate for transformational change in the New Zealand primary sector and agribusiness.
Te Hono is business led, government partnered and deeply focused on the aspiration for New Zealand, to be recognised by the rest of the world for our natural environment and products, for the openness and ethical values of our people, and the quality of our relations with the rest of the world.
Te Hono comes from a greater concept: Hono Tangata, Hono Whenua, Hono ki te ao – strengthening relationships by linking to the land and connecting to the world.
