Description
Increasing erosion of the Tasikoki Beach (North Sulawesi, Indonesia) and surrounding areas is causing serious reduction of the local coastline. As the effects of the erosion are currently unknown, our Multidisciplinary Project Group will first focus on the possible causes regarding the disruptions of the coastal balance. Based on the conducted measurements, several (preferably Building with Nature) solutions will be implemented in cooperation with local students from the Faculty of Ocean Engineering located at ITM Tomohon University. Supported by our backgrounds in Hydraulic Engineering, Offshore & Dredging Engineering and Construction Management & Engineering, we will provide several possible substantiated solutions for the Tasikoki Beach which will hopefully lead to a natural long-term solution for the current erosion problems.
