The Supportive Oncology Research Group (SORG) is built on compassion and collaboration, with a vision to ensure that people with cancer not only survive, but thrive.

While we’ve made enormous progress in treating cancer, the reality for many people is that both the disease and its treatment cause a range of unwanted side effects. Regardless of which side effect it is, or how long it lasts, these challenges have profound impacts on the health and wellbeing of people living with or beyond cancer. Too often, they’re poorly understood and dismissed as something patients must simply “put up with” in the pursuit of a cure.

At SORG, we’re committed to changing that narrative through advocacy and high-quality research. Our goal is to minimise the physical, psychosocial, and financial burden of cancer, ensuring that every person affected by cancer achieves the best possible quality of life from diagnosis, throughout treatment, and into survivorship or end of life.
