Sunway University Chinese Cultural Society (SUCCS)

Description

In late 2017, new Executive Committee of Sunway University Chinese Cultural Society was officially formed and decided to reform the management policy progressively in order to strengthen our society.

Sunway University Chinese Cultural Society (SUCCS) adheres to the following purposes:

(1) Inherit the Chinese language and Chinese culture and extend to people of all nationalities.

(2) Encourage the students, whom are the pillars of society, to utilize their strengths and benefit the country and people.

(3) Enhance the members' ability of independent thinking and events organization.

(4) Provide a Chinese-language platform for students to unite and exchange ideas.

(5) Nurture a team of leaders, strengthen our society from various aspects.

These purposes serve as a broad direction for the future development of SUCCS, and various academic and non-academic activities will be held in order to realize it.

Confucius said ," To be fond of it is better than merely to know it, and to find joy in it is better than merely to be fond of it". Hence, we also hope to establish various classes on Chinese culture in the future, bringing together alike-minded students.

However, SUCCS can be said to be in its beginning state now, hoping to get the support from all the teachers and students from Sunway University, and even the public, in order to promote the essence of Chinese culture in Sunway campus.

2017年后期，全新的执委团正式接棒双威大学华文学会后，决定逐步改革，开始以更加系统化的管理方式带领、发展与壮大学会。

双威大学华文学会秉持着以下的宗旨发展： （一）传承与发扬华文及中华文化，巩固华文根基，并推广于各族群众。 （二）鼓励作为社会栋梁的大专生，发挥所长，造福国家与人群。 （三）提升会员独立思考与积极的办事能力。 （四）提供大专生一个以华语交流的平台，团结彼此。 （五）培育青出于蓝领导团队，从各种方面壮大学会。 这些宗旨作为学会未来发展的大方向，也将举办各种有关学术性与非学术性的一系列活动。

孔子说：“知之者不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者”，因此，我校华文学会也希望能在未来成立各种有关中华文化的兴趣班，聚集那些志同道合的学生。

然而，该学会目前可说是处于婴儿期的阶段，希望获得师生与广大群众的支持，协助甚至认可，让中华文化的精髓遍布于双威大学校园的各个角落。
