Description
The Stuttering and Research Trust (START) is New Zealand's only charity dedicated to providing specialist therapy and wraparound support for stuttering, for both adults and children.
Established in 1993, we have over 30 years of experience and the privilege of helping over 3,000 people who stutter.
For people who stutter, we provide therapy with our qualified Speech Language Therapists (SLTs). For parents and their community, we provide support and resources.
For Employers and Teachers, START offers a wealth of resources, including guidelines, materials, and practical tips to support people who stutter in your workplace or classroom. START offers a referral system for GPs.
START is also a training provider for SLTs both in New Zealand and internationally.
START is a New Zealand registered charity, and our vital mahi relies on the generosity of donors and the support of philanthropic and business communities.
