Sekolah Tinggi Penyuluhan Pertanian (STPP) Bogor merupakan Perguruan Tinggi Kedinasan yang berada di bawah Kementerian Pertanian yang menyelenggarakan pendidikan bagi calon penyuluh pertanian.
STPP Bogor terbentuk berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Pertanian Nomor 50 Tahun 2001 tentang Pendirian Sekolah Tinggi Penyuluhan Pertanian Bogor dan Sekolah Tinggi Penyuluhan Pertanian Malang; dan Keputusan Menteri Pertanian Nomor 596/Kpts/OT.210/11/2001 tentang Statuta STPP Bogor.
STPP Bogor mempunyai tugas menyelenggarakan pendidikan profesional di bidang penyuluhan pertanian dan penyuluhan peternakan, serta pendidikan dan pelatihan fungsional rumpun ilmu hayat pertanian bagi alumni STPP Bogor.
Lalu pada tahun 2018 STPP Bogor bertransformasi menjadi Politeknik Pembangunan Pertanian (Polbangtan) Bogor berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Pertanian Nomor 25/PERMENTAN/OT.020/5/2018 tentang Organisasi dan Tata Kerja Polbangtan dan Peraturan Menteri Pertanian Nomor 36/PERMENTAN/SM.220/6/2018 tentang Statuta Polbangtan.
