Store DJ is a national retail business specialising in music technology and lighting for DJs, musicians, nightclubs and bars. Store DJ’s key product lines include CD Players, Digital DJ Equipment, DJ Software, Turntables, Mixers, Sound Systems, Studio Recording Equipment, Music Production Software and Lighting Equipment. Store DJ operates four retail stores in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and we also provide secure online shopping with free delivery around Australia for any items under 20kg.
Launched in 2000 in a small shop in Bowen Hills, Brisbane, Store DJ was the first specialty DJ store in Australia to operate both a physical shop front and online store that offered online advice and support to Australian DJs. In 2005 Store DJ was acquired by Vinyl Warning (at the time Australia's largest online retailer of 12" vinyl records) and the two businesses were combined forming our head office in our Richmond store location.
Since then, Store DJ has dedicated itself to providing Australian DJs and musicians with competitive prices and professional advice by opening stores in Sydney (2007), Brisbane (2009) and Perth (2012). The Sydney store has been expanded twice from its original location in Darlinghurst to the new flagship Leichhardt store opened in November 2013. We have kept a breadth of the changing technology landscape and diversified our product offering which alongside traditional DJ decks now includes the full gamut of music technology products for serious sound engineers and producers.
Store DJ is a division of SoundBay Pty Ltd (formerly Vinyl Warning Pty Ltd) and we’re proud to be part of a company that is committed to enabling people to create and share music. In the near future SoundBay will expand its operations to include musical instrument stores around the country. The future of DJing and music making in Australia has never looked brighter!
