Founded in 2016. As a team of multidisciplinary health advocates dedicated to promoting the increasingly growing importance of Sports and Exercise Medicine, we aim to:
1. Provide a sense of community and foster a multidisciplinary approach to care by bringing together medical/allied health students and recent graduates sharing a common interest.
2. Provide education in the field of sports and exercise medicine through academic events, practical workshops and the distribution of up-to-date literature, news and media.
3. Provide opportunities for career development in the field of Sports and Exercise Medicine by consistently promoting external learning opportunities, networking experiences and mentoring partnerships with health professionals from Sports Medicine Australia and the Australasian College of Sports and Exercise Physicians members.
4. Increase awareness of exercise and healthy eating as a means of preventive medicine and its role in improving physical and mental wellbeing.
