To be the voice of sport in New South Wales

Our Mission

To lead New South Wales sport in building relevant, healthy communities.

Who We Are

Sport NSW is the peak industry body for sport in New South Wales. We are an independent not-for-profit organisations representing New South Wales sporting organisations as 'The Voice of Sport'.

Our members include state sporting organisations, regional sports associations & councils, disability sporting organisations, sports academies, councils, industry bodies and sports enthusiasts.

Sport NSW recognises the sports industry faces many challenges & we strive to work closely with members to enhance the quality of experience for participants & volunteers engaged in sport in New South Wales.

Sport NSW serves the New South Wales sporting community by:

  • Advocating a case for sport to State & Local Government & other agencies for & on behalf of participants & volunteers;
  • Celebrating the achievements of athletes, officials, coaches & recognising the contribution made by volunteers to uphold the integrity of sport & its contribution to the community;
  • Providing opportunities to create & share knowledge as a means of promoting sport & to assist sporting organisations to build their capability.
