The South Australian Council on Intellectual Disability (SACID) works towards achieving a South Australian community in which people with intellectual disability are involved and accepted as equal participating members.

SACID also supports Inclusion Northern Territory to achieve the same goals in the Northern Territory.

SACID works towards an inclusive community by

  • ensuring people with intellectual disability have a strong voice in all we do
  • engaging in systemic advocacy to uphold the rights of people with intellectual disability
  • ensuring people have access to easy to understand information
  • ensuring the voices of people with intellectual disability in South Australia and the Northern Territory are heard on a national level through our affiliation with Inclusion Australia
