SMTRACK Berhad (Formerly Known as Smartag Solutions Berhad) is a technology solutions provider that utilizes Identification tags and innovative technologies to provide online and mobile solutions that enable users to obtain visibility, transparency and security.
In 2007, SMTRACK was awarded Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Malaysia company status and two years later, became a member of GS1 EPC Global. The company also represents the Malaysia Department of Standards in the ISO Technical Committee TC104. In 2009, our dedicated R&D team commenced development of Smartrack™ EPCIS (Electronic Product Code Information Systems), which culminated in the company receiving the ‘Best of e-Logistics Merit Award’ for Smartrack™ at the MSC Malaysia APICTA Awards 2010. Smartrack™ is also the first in Asia Pacific, and the second in the world to pass all nine (9) conformance test branches conducted by MET Laboratories and subsequently awarded with the EPC Global Software Certification Mark. SMTRACK is also a member of the Microsoft Partner Network.
Since 2008, SMTRACK has been active in track and trace for container security solutions by working together with regional port operators and Customs authorities, on RFID solutions for Security and Trade Facilitation. On 30th April 2012, SMTRACK entered into an agreement with the Royal Malaysian Customs as the service provider for the Container Security and Trade Facilitation System using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).
SMTrack Berhad ("SMTrack") was listed in the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in 2011. During our IPO, SMTrack was more than 300 times over-subscribed, one of the highest ever recorded over option on the Malaysian Stock Exchange. Its primary business activity is in information technology in general and in this respect its specialty is in providing online track and trace solutions and platforms using its state oft RFID technology coupled with a first-class tracking engine dubbed as SMTrack.
